Al van kinds af aan is Robbert met muziek bezig, eerst piano, toen gitaar en uiteindelijk saxofoon. De liefde voor blues zat er al vroeg in, daarnaast ook popmuziek, klassiek en jazz.
Hij studeerde klassiek saxofoon aan het conservatorium van Amsterdam. Robbert speelde onder meer met Mister Boogie Woogie, Robbert Fossen, JJ Sharp, Chick Rodgers, Frank McComb, Orkest de Volharding, Ricciotti, etc. In 2014 was Robbert genomineerd voor de Dutch Blues Award.
Hij is actief op vele muzikale fronten, van pop tot klassiek, van dj tot big band. Zijn passie voor muziek is terug te horen in zijn spel. Met zijn krachtige toon en dynamisch spel weet Robbert de luisteraar te boeien en mee te nemen in zijn muzikale verhaal!
